Delirious from playing with Papa! On our way home from Aiken
Me and Katie

Soooo, today I was in Katie's room when they checked Benton's heartbeat - I just love that sound. The fast, sweet, woosh woosh woosh woosh ... it just warms your heart! As promised, he moved around and kicked my hand - it made my day! We spent the afternoon chatting like little school girls (typical :) ... Katie and I met in the 1st grade - yes, that equals 20 years folks, and for 15 years of those, we were, in fact, school girls). She looks like a glowing mommy, with the addition of an IV "port," leg cuffs (? ... don't remember what they're called) that help with circulation, and a night gown. We were talking today about nightgowns. I guess you reach a point when it's time to grow out of the sweats-and-t-shirts ensemble and wear appropriate night time attire - I'm still working on it :). Katie decided it was her turn to make the switch and she pulls it off well. Her hospital room is complete with a gloriously early 80s style decor, Valentine's Day decorations (not kidding - one of her friends helped spice up her room! so cute!), beautiful flowers from Mrs. Maddux and Erin, LOTS of snacks, and a trillion magazines. Can't wait to visit again!

Thanks, Kath!! :) For the record, I am going to put on some makeup before we take more pictures - haha! Benton is being his usual wild man self today and kicking lots...he misses Aunt Kathy! :)
I am so glad to hear that Katie and Benton are doing as good as possible right now- you are such a sweet friend to keep her spirits up! I am praying for her and that sweet baby boy every day!
Love you!
