Riley was 8 months old on 8/9. Where. has. the. time. gone. She is a FIRECRACKER!
Already amazing us with her ability to move it and shake it (life as we know it is going to change... AGAIN!). Riley started crawling 7/25 and hasn't looked back since. She insists on pulling up on everything! I got her out of the tub tonight and before I could turn to grab the diaper, she had already started to climb up Will's bathroom stool. Are you kidding me? There she was, in all her proud 8-month-old glory, standing on the bottom step of the stool hanging on to the cabinet knobs trying to make her way up to the 2nd step. We are in for it, folks!
She loves to babble, too... "da da da da da" and "ba ba ba ba ba" with a number of increasingly louder squeals. Woah nelly, and don't you try and take a toy (or anything) away from her (
ahem, Will Sowards) or those squeals become screams... a firecracker I tell you! In all her "firecrackerness" (it's a real word, I just made it up), though, she is the sweetest most laid back baby! If all babies came like her, we might have
seven more!

I also
have to talk about my sweet, SWEET boy. Oh my goodness, if he was any cuter in the way he talks and acts, I don't know what I'd do with myself. The. kid. is. funny. He gives THE best hugs in the entire world - no exaggeration, he seriously means it when he hugs you. His little sister is crazy about him
and his toys. He works very hard to share, but as we know, sharing is tough for an almost 3 year old (did I just say that?! 3?!). We are so proud of him and the little boy he has become. Get ready for a mushy post on 9/8... I still remember that day like it was this morning. One of the best days of my life. He is one special little boy ;). And, oh, how his little sister loves him!
