Will had his first surgery yesterday and was quite the little trooper! We got to the hospital around 10 after 5 for all of the pre-op fun with Mrs. Stoudenmire (his pre-op nurse and family friend). He hung in there for a little while, but was REALLY hungry by the time they were finally ready to operate. They had toys and wagons for the babies - which made it a little easier to entertain a very tired and hungry little boy. You wouldn't know he was fussy by the pictures (that yellow gown he's wearing was his hospital gown), he's smiling in every one! In between his fussy spells he would flirt with all of the cute nurses - of course they ate it up. 7:30 rolled around and Stephen and I got to walk him to the double doors to the surgery wing. We kissed him and handed him off to the doctors (mommy fell apart here, but held it together the rest of the day :)). Around 8:30, we were called to the information desk and they took me back to the recovery room. There he was, our sweet boy, screaming his head off because they were feeding him sugar water and he wanted his beloved enfimil. Once he got 4-5 ounces of formula, he was off flirting again with the nurses. He had to get his head pressure wrapped b/c a hematoma had formed where the incision was. After that, we went to his room and camped out until about 5:30 last night. He's doing so well! We are so thankful for all of your prayers!

I am so glad that things went well with Will's surgery. I know that had to have been very stressful for you and Stephen. Will is ADORABLE! I was cleaning out my email tonight and found your email that I never responded too. I am so sorry. I will do that tomorrow. I would love to call you if you will email me your phone number! Love, Hannah
Praise the Lord! I am so happy that things went well- I know it must have broken your heart to have to pass him off to the doctors. It sounds like they took excellent care of him- he is PRECIOUS!!! And, you are right- he was such a trooper:)
So glad things went well! I was hoping that I would find a moment on Monday to come check on you all but we were slammed on the floor. Let's get together and grab lunch or dinner soon, I miss you guys!

Hi! I went to high school with Stephen and came upon your blog via facebook today. I've really enjoyed reading and seeing your pictures. My son will be 4 months this weekend so they are pretty close in age and I started a blog when I was pregnant as well.
Anyway, just wanted to say hello and so glad your little guy made it through surgery OK!! He really is a little trooper!
I'm so glad your little man is doing well. I've enjoyed following your journey and can't wait for ours to start!
